Meet the Team
Alma Garcia
Appointment Coordinator
Alma Garcia is our multitasker! She is our Public Relations Scheduling coordinator as well as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). She graduated from UEI Dental Assisting program in 2011 and joined Mission Valley Dental Arts Team in May of 2012 as a Dental Assistant. Since she learned all the tasks of a front office while assisting. Alma has a very energetic, positive and happy nature; her smile and playful sense of humor creates a friendly rapport with all patients and coworkers.
Alma is a mother of two handsome boys and on her spare time enjoys spending quality time with her family at the beach.
“I will be the one that will greet you with a smile and a flower in my hair,” says Alma.
Laura Chavez
Treatment Coordinator
Laura began working in the dental field in 1992; over the years of working as a receptionist, she gained valuable knowledge in many areas of the field. For the past 11 years, her primary role as patient liaison has been to ensure patients understand their dental needs and how to best obtain their needed treatment by creating the best plan to fit each patient’s finances.
She truly enjoys creating long-lasting friendships with the wonderful people she works with or meets while working in this practice.
She married her husband “Windy” in 1996, and they have 3 wonderful boys, Cesar, Isaias and Moises.
“I love what I do and you can see it show through my work,” says Laura.
Mirna Sandoval
Registered Dental Assistant
She attended UEI to become a dental assistant, after six years working she expanded her knowledge and took the next step and became an RDA. She has been working in this office for about 10 years and she really loves her job.
Her goal is to help provide the best and most pleasant experience for each patient during their dental procedure because she understands the fears and anxieties associated with seeking Dental treatments. She loves and enjoys her job and all the friendships she has formed with our patients as our extended family.
Mirna is a mother of two lovely boys. On her spare time, she loves to do Zumba to try and stay fit to be able to keep up with her boys. She enjoys spending time with her Family and their activities.
“I have a wonderful, loving and caring doctor that I work with side by side and enjoy working with my co-workers, ” says Mirna.
John Le
Registered Dental Hygienist
John is a registered dental hygienist (RDH). He graduated from Southwestern College in 2010 with a dental hygiene degree. He has been practicing with mission Valley Dental Arts since July of 2012.
He believes the oral cavity is one of the most important parts of our body and it deserves the best care. He enjoys cleaning his patient's teeth and always trying his best to do the most gentle and thorough job.
He is happily married to his wife Lana and they have a baby boy named JJ. They also have a wonderful puppy Pomeranian named Ping Pong that always keep them company. They enjoy cooking and traveling to different places.
“I enjoy working with Dr. Yassi and the staff in this office because they really know how to care and love each other like a family,” says John.
Crystal Limon
Registered Dental Hygienist
Crystal Limon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in June of 2015. During her time in dental school, she volunteered in clinics, providing care for underprivileged patients, which instilled in her the importance of educating people on maintaining proper oral hygiene. Witnessing the transformative impact of good oral hygiene on overall health, especially in treating severe gum disease cases, fueled her passion for her profession.
Crystal finds joy in working with all patients, assisting them in achieving optimal oral health while leveraging her extensive education, treatment experience, and collaboration with Dr. Sardari and their knowledgeable staff. Outside of the office, she cherishes spending time with her family, indulging in activities like going to the movies, watching sports (especially soccer), and playing with their family pets, a Siberian Husky and a Toy Poodle.
Kathryn (Kat) Tira
Registered Dental Assistant
Kathryn (Kat) is a Registered Dental Assistant. Born and raised in Montana, she moved to San Diego in 2017 to study Dental Assisting and has been working in the field ever since!
Kat believes in making patients feel comfortable and respecting their time. She really cares for the patients like they are her family because she knows coming to the dental office can be scary. She is a team player and you will occasionally see her in various places throughout the office helping anyone who needs an extra hand.
Kat is a joyful, silly person who loves to laugh. She has a love for the holidays, (Halloween especially) and makes it a priority to bring the holiday magic alive! Kat is married to her loving husband, Mike. They have one fur-baby together named Fitz. Get her to talk about her rescue dog and she will go on for days!
